Only 30km south of Northern Star’s Paulsens’ Gold Mine is our Mt-Clement tenements - with a JORC resource: 64,400 ounces of gold and 618,500 ounces of silver.

Outside of our key area near Karratha, we also have tenements in the Shire of Ashburton, between Paraburdoo and the Nanutarra Roadhouse. These are M08/191, M08/192 & M08/193 and we call them the Mt Clement-Paulsens Gold/Silver Project.

Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX: NST) has been one of this decade’s success stories for gold. Their Paulsens gold mine and plant are only 30km north of our Mt Clement tenements. In fact, we have joint ventured with Northern Star for this project – and we maintain an 80% interest as project operators. The Mt Clement-Paulsens project has a JORC (2004) compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 1Mt at 1.7 g/t gold and 17g/t silver for a total of 64,400 ounces gold and 618,500 ounces silver.  The current resource outcrops at surface and remains open at depth and along strike.

As announced in February 2017, we showed exceptional gold recoveries at over 97% using Nagrom’s LeachWEL bottle roll test to extract the cyanide soluble gold and announced that the metallurgical test confirms the Mt Clement-Paulsens project is amenable to conventional cyanide leaching. We’re working towards a Feasibility Study for an open pit and heap leach gold operation with Northern Star.

Meanwhile, Blackrock Metals Pty Ltd – our friends from Whim Creek who are taking our copper ore from Whundo – are also interested in the precious metals at Mt Clement-Paulsens. In May 2017, we signed a MoU to commence a full scoping study of the gold and silver project. Blackrock is a specialist operator with significant experience in operating heap leaching and processing facilities for precious metals. We’re co-funding the study (50/50) but Blackrock is managing the study.
