Mt Clement Gold Project
The Mt Clement Gold Project is located within the Ashburton Formation, approximately 35km south of Northern Star Resources Ltd’s Paulsens Gold Mine. Mt Clement consists of three granted mining leases covering an area of 1573 hectares. These mining leases are held 80% by Artemis, with Northern Star Resources Ltd holding 20% under a joint venture agreement.
The Mt Clement Gold Project has been explored previously by BHP, WMC and Newmont Mining. Consistent mineralisation has been located over a strike length of 800m in a highly altered and strongly fractured zone of gold, silver and copper mineralisation.
Artemis completed substantial RC and DD drilling at the Mt Clement gold project between 2009 and 2011. Best intersections returned from this drilling include:
• 20m @ 7.3 g/t Au and 380 g/t Ag (ARMCRC007; 86-106m)
• 15m @ 3.8 g/t Au and 90.4 g/t Ag (ARMCRC008; 51-66m)
• 21m @ 4.2 g/t Au and 0.7 g/t Ag (ARVMC3; 5-26m)
• 6m @ 8.8 g/t Au and 558.4 g/t Ag (ARMCRC001; 106-112m)
This drilling was combined with the historic drillhole database, and a Mineral Resource Estimate was completed during 2011 resulting in a JORC(2004) compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 1.13Mt @ 1.8g/t Au and 17g/t Ag for a total contained metal of 64,400 ounces Au and 618,500 ounces Ag.
Further drilling is planned for Mt Clement to both obtain samples for metallurgical testwork to determine whether the oxide portion of the resource is amenable to heap leaching. As part of this work the resource will be upgraded to JORC(2012).

Eastern Hills (Sb-Pb)
The Eastern Hills Sb-Pb project is located less than a kilometre to the southeast of the Mt Clement Au project. During the late 1990s Taipan Resources NL completed RC drilling at Eastern Hills, consisting of 22 RC drillholes. This drilling targeted an 800 metre strike length of a thin gossanous outcrop. Drilling intersected a quartz sulphide zone at depth, with best intersections of 6m @ 1.31% Sb & 3.47% Pb, and 5m @ 1.66% Sb & 1.86% Pb.
During 2013 Artemis completed 11 RC drillholes at Eastern Hills, designed to both confirm and extend the mineralised zone identified by Taipan (Taipan Zone). This drilling was successful in extending mineralisation, with best intersections of 8m @ 2.0% Sb & 2.6% Pb (AREHRC008 212-220m), and 4m @ 5.3% Sb & 13.8% Pb (AREHRC010 156-160m).
During this time Artemis also identified a parallel zone, the Dugite Zone, which returned highly anomalous geochemistry, with rock chip samples returning up to 28.0% Sb and 34.4% Pb. During 2014 Artemis completed a small RC drilling programme to test the eastern end of the Dugite Zone. Results were disappointing, however only a small portion of the strike length of the Dugite Zone was tested, and potential remains along strike.
Sb-Pb mineralisation at Eastern Hills is hosted by a boulangerite, jamesonite, meneghinite assemblage intergrown with galena and arsenopyrite. Petrographic analysis of samples from Eastern Hills suggests syn-metamorphic remobilisation and re-crystallisation of syngenetic massive sulphide mineralisation.
